No ice machine on the 4th floor, there could have been a TV in the room with the couch. Also why have the table with the pop up table top, then have a desk. I thought I paid for a riverside view, I didn't get that. The room was very nice overall, the bed was very comfortable.
Three days ago I made a reservation at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites, Jenks, OK, for a double bed room with a balcony view. Today, three days before my trip, I was called and told that they do not have any rooms, and I was offered a standard room. When I asked if my rate would be reduced because I selected and paid a deposit for the higher priced room, the receptionist said she would have to check and call me tomorrow, because the reservation was made on line. Now this is the fourth of July weekend, I made a reservation almost a week in advance and paid a deposit, for three nights with hopes of being able to see fireworks from my window. I am not certain of anything - not even if I will have a room or that I will not be over charged for something inferior. Here's hoping H.I. E. can make good on their own online reservation service.
Be forewarned that they are doing construction and the pool and fitness center are closed. The staff was friendly and they greet IHG guests with a little goodie bag of popcorn and a water bottle. Their dinner selection was awful, but the breakfast selection was okay. Our air conditioner knobs were broken so we had to get extra blankets to keep warm. Good location next to the Oklahoma Aquarium. I would not visit here until they are done with the construction.
We chose this hotel for it's proximity to the aquarium, you can walk between the 2 which is very convenient. We stayed in one of the newly renovated rooms on the 4th floor. The renovation is nice, channeling a European vibe with modular wall pieces. The size of the 2 queen room is great, we could fit the pack and play in between the 2 beds with room to walk around. They are also having special dinners during the renovation with free food and drinks in the lobby every evening which was a pleasant surprise.
Nice clean hotel. They are doing some revisions at the time but it hasn't been any inconvienounce.good breakfast and great staff.
